Cap Board Meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 5pm and are open to the public. All members are encouraged to attend. If you are planning to attend, please call 494-3780.

Board of Directors

President -Julita Jones is an artist, art educator, long time Festival of the Arts and Sawdust Art Festival exhibitor, former Vice Chair of the Laguna Beach Arts Commission, and a founding board member of LOCA (Laguna Outreach Community Arts). She is a 42 year Laguna resident.

Vice President - Clara Frantz is a Laguna resident since 1966. The past Treasurer of CAP, she is also a board member of the Laguna Canyon foundation. She served as V.P. and Manager of Laguna’s Bank of America, retiring in 2000 after 35 years. She has also been President of the Newport Beach Bay Broadcaster, a Toastmaster, and was instrumental in establishing the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.

Secretary - Pat Whiteside-Phillips is a retired High School art teacher and 30-year Laguna resident. An enthusiastic supporter of the arts, she exhibits in the Festival of Arts, college galleries, is an artist member of O.C.C.C.A. and is a L.O.C.A. board member.

Treasurer - Ali Pouretezadi resides in Laguna Beach and is a Senior Business Banker for the Laguna branch of Wells Fargo Bank. He is our youngest board member and hails from Alaska.

Ken Anderson, a 18-year resident of Laguna Beach, is an artist and writer, former Arts Commissioner and former LOCA Board Member. Ken is active in other local civic organizations. He was a pilot in World War II, and is a retiree from the Ford Motor Company.

Faye Baglin,  "Faye Baglin moved to Laguna Beach in 1969 with her husband Wayne.  While raising two children in Laguna,  her community involvement included volunteer work with the Laguna schools, teaching at the Presbyterian Preschool, and co-chairing Susan G. Komen fundraising events in Laguna.   Faye works as a legal assistant and spends her leisure time scuba diving, practicing yoga, and enjoying time with her children and grandchildren.  The Baglins are avid collectors of contemporary Laguna Beach art and supporters of the arts.  With CAP, Faye is responsible for planning art education field trips." 

Connie Butz is a 25 year Laguna Beach resident, 32-year Laguna Art Museum member and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Motivated Museum Members. She is currently a freelance graphic designer, painter and printmaker.

John Hoover has lived in Laguna Beach and been involved with arts organizations for decades. Recently elected to the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts Board of Directors, John also finds time for his home loan business.

Trudy Josephson, a 40+ year resident of Laguna Beach, has been active in the community for many of those years. She was on the original board of directors for the Laguna Beach Neighborhood Watch, has served as the chairperson for the Laguna Charm House Tour and was a City appointee to Laguna’s first Heritage Committee. Since her retirement from motivational speaking, she spends her time taking art classes and traveling..

Mary Rabe, is a longtime collector and appreciator of the Festival of Arts. A 16-year resident of Laguna, she has donated time to many organizations, including the effort to keep Laguna Art Museum in town, Village Laguna and Laguna Beach Democratic Club.

Patricia Turnier, is a 25 year Laguna Beach resident.

Larry Zadan, is a 5 year Laguna Beach resident, and a retired businessman from New York. While residing in Laguna Beach, Larry is putting his considerable business skills to work for CAP. He is an ardent lover of the arts and an aspiring sculptor.
