The Post Cards from Laguna mural was dedicated autumn, 2003. The City of Laguna Beach and CAP sponsored this project. There was an open call for artists to participate and Honorariumsfor the selected art were awarded. The artists are Ken Auster, Michael Jacques, Craig Keenan and Mike Kungle. The paintings that create the mural are images of Laguna’s “Treasures” recognizable to residents and tourists. These paintings, Rock Pile, Post Cards, The Greeter, and The Beach, are placed over 4 benches and will be rotated. The site at 364 Ocean (the bus station) is highly visible from the street and businesses and the seating provides a perfect place to sit and enjoy the mural across the street. The paintings have transformed a harsh landscape into pleasant memories of Laguna Beach.
